One of my primary goals this year is to pace myself. With so many goals and dreams the idea of accomplishing them all as quickly as possible sounds exciting.
Well, until I burn out.
If a runner gives all they have at the beginning of a race they won’t have enough strength to finish. Winners are those who know that consistency, pace, and endurance can add much more value in the long run. The same is true for our lives.
Hebrews 12:1 has been a sure reminder for me regarding this truth.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. – Hebrews 12:1 ESV
When we run with endurance we don’t have to rush today because the race doesn’t end today. In this week’s video, I’m sharing how we can focus less on running fast and more on finishing strong. Enjoy!
