Today we look at a very important question God asks the Israelites as He prepares to release them from Babylonian captivity.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” – Isaiah 43:19 ESV
Do you not perceive it? It’s like the new ways God is making for them are obvious, but the fact that God has to ask this question makes one wonder if they were somehow blinded from what God was trying to do. And I wonder, are we? Do we too get so distracted by our pasts and current situations we can’t distinguish between what’s been done and what new thing God wants to do in our lives right now?
